Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) has appointed Valerie Jacob as fund manager for the global listed real estate team.
In her role, Jacob is responsible for European and U.K. listed real estate strategies. Bringing a breadth of expertise in real estate research and corporate development, Jacob will also provide research expertise while identifying investment opportunities in the European and U.K. real estate securities markets. Working as part of the Real Estate team at ASI, which manages £38.6 billion ($54.3 billion) of assets as of December 2020, Jacob will join the listed real estate team, which manages six global, European (ex-U.K.) and U.K. REIT strategies across 14 funds and U.K. REIT strategies.
Jacob joins from Eurocommercial Properties, a pan-European shopping center REIT, where she was director of investor relations and corporate strategy. Prior to that, Jacob worked at Exane BNP Paribas for more than 13 years as an equity analyst covering the real estate s
