The A2A Group, one of Italy’s largest players in the energy transition, and Enfinity Global, a company specializing in renewable energy solutions, have signed new 10-year power-purchase agreements (PPAs) in Italy for 134 megawatts of solar energy.
The electricity provided will be produced from six of Enfinity’s solar power plants in Italy’s Lazio and Emilia Romagna regions. It is equivalent to the annual consumption of about 86,000 Italian homes and avoids more than 104,000 tons of carbon-dioxide emissions per year.
This builds on initial PPAs signed in October 2023 that involved A2A Group’s purchase of energy produced from three of Enfinity’s solar power plants in Lazio, totaling 97 megawatts.
