Consórcio Via Brasil 163 — a consortium consisting of Conasa Infraestrutura, Zeta Infraestrutura, Construtora Rocha Cavalcante, Engenharia de Materials and M4 Investimentos e Participações — has been selected as the preferred bidder for a highway concession in Brazil.

Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT) awarded the contract following an auction, which took place July 8, according to InfraPPP.

The highway runs 1,009.5 kilometers (627 miles) and connects the Midwest and North of Brazil. Work will include improving the road infrastructures, including shoulders, additional lanes, side roads and access roads, as well as periodic maintenance.

The concession will involve a total investment BRL 1.8 billion ($346 million) and will span a period of 10 years.
