Institutional Real Estate, Inc. is excited to announce its newest initiative, IREI : LIVE! A new Virtual Conference Series focusing on the most significant issues the industry is facing in today's climate. IREI : LIVE will be produced seven times in 2021. The series will start in May.

IREI : LIVE’s panels will feature the IREI commitment of a one-to-one LP/GP ratio on each panel with a combination of four to six GPs and LPs spread out over two or three panels per event.

Chase McWhorter serves as Managing Director of Institutional Real Estate Americas for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. (IREI), an industry-leading publication focused on meeting the information needs of the institutional real estate community. In this capacity, he is responsible for global business development and client service focused on publication sponsorships, while also leading the recruitment of top institutional investors who serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of Institutional Real Estate Americas with the publication’s sponsors. McWhorter has more than 10 years’ experience in the real assets investment industry. McWhorter is a graduate of the University of Southern California, receiving a B.S. in Public Policy, Planning and Development, while also winning three Pac-10 Championships and two Rose Bowls as a member of the USC Trojan football team.

Mike Acton

Mike Acton is a managing director and Head of Research of AEW, with responsibility for directing AEW Research, the firm’s in-house research group. He works closely with the fund’s investment management team to develop investment strategy and criteria. Acton joined the firm in 1990 and has 35 years of experience as an economic analyst and forecaster. He is a member of the Investment, Management, Risk Management and Compliance Committees. Previously, he managed the Metropolitan Area Forecasting Service for DRI/McGraw-Hill. Acton has a BA from Bates College and is a CFA charterholder as well as a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Boston.

Dodge Carter
Managing Director
Crow Holdings Capital

Dodge Carter is responsible for the multifamily and student housing investment activities at Crow Holdings Capital. He has been associated with CHC and CHC-affiliated entities since 2003. Carter is a member of the Crow Holdings Capital Investment Committee. Since 1987, Carter has held various positions with Lomas & Nettleton, First Gibraltar Bank, GE Capital Real Estate and Olympus Real Estate Partners. Responsibilities have included construction lending, debt/equity asset management, capital markets and business development activities. Carter is a board member of the National Multi-Housing Council and member of the Folsom Institute for Real Estate at Southern Methodist University.

Jeremy Goldberg

StepStone Real Estate

Jeremy Goldberg is a member of StepStone’s real estate team and focuses on various investment and portfolio management activities. Prior to StepStone, he was a senior vice president at Courtland Partners, an international real estate advisory firm that integrated with StepStone Real Estate. Before that, Goldberg led the corporate finance and investor relations efforts for Associated Estates Realty Corporation, a publicly traded multifamily REIT. Previously, he spent more than 12 years in the banking industry, working in a variety of roles. Goldberg received an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Joseph Kinard

Joseph M. Kinard is the most recent chair of the Presbyterian Church (USA) Committee on Mission Responsibility Through Investment (MRTI), which implements PCUSA policies on socially responsible investing. Kinard also chaired the PCUSA Environmental and Climate Change Issue Committee. As a board member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) Board of Pensions, Kinard served on many core committees and was a reviewer for the Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation investment strategy. Through his company, The Kinard Group, Kinard has helped companies obtain venture capital, angel and mezzanine financing. In 2018, Kinard was inducted into the National Association of Securities Professionals Wall Street Hall of Fame.

Chris LoSapio

Chris LoSapio is a principal for FCP, overseeing the execution of asset business plans and leading portfolio management initiatives. He leads asset management operational strategy and technology initiatives for FCP’s real estate assets. Prior to FCP, heworked at CW Capital, where he co-managed operations for a portfolio of REO multifamily assets across the continental United States. He has broad experience across asset classes in multifamily, self-storage, office, redevelopment, historic tax credits and manufactured housing. He started his career at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (formerly NKF). LoSapio received his M.B.A. in finance and B.A. in political science from Seton Hall University.

Hans Nordby

As head of Lionstone’s Analytics and Research team, Hans Nordby is responsible for leading the firm’s proprietary analytics and data-driven research platform. He joined Lionstone in 2020, bringing more than 20 years of industry experience to the firm. Previously, he led the portfolio strategy division at CoStar Group and its predecessor Property & Portfolio Research, where he drove the development of analytic tools to harness the power of big data for use by the commercial real estate industry. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds an M.B.A. from Indiana University.

Randy C. Norton

Randy Norton is founder and chairman of the board at MultiGreen. He has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development and construction, specializing in green and smart development. Norton also holds executive roles at Green Mesa Capital. His memberships include CAIA, CCIM Institute, CFA Institute, Construction Financial Management Association, Institute of Real Estate Management, Sustainable Accounting Standards Board, ULI, U.S. Green Building Council, and IREOC. After graduating with honors in Korean and business from Brigham Young University, Norton completed executive programs at Harvard University and Columbia Business School. He is the author of published articles and the forthcoming book Applied Value Investing in Real Estate.

Jeffrey Reder

As a managing director and member of the Investment Committee for CenterSquare’s Private Equity Real Estate group, Jeff Reder brings 25 years of industry experience to his leadership role in sourcing, underwriting and closing acquisitions and investment transactions in the western United States. Previously, he headed asset management for a private real estate investment firm and was an investment banker at Salomon Brothers. Reder holds a B.A. in economics and psychology from Northwestern University. He is affiliated with ULI, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks, the National Multi Housing Council, and the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council.
