Mitsui Fudosan Logistics REIT buys two logistics assets in Japan for $737m

by Andrea Zander

Mitsui Fudosan Logistics REIT Management Co., asset management company of Mitsui Fudosan Logistics Park, has acquired two logistics assets in Japan, MFLP Ibaraki and MFLP Kawaguchi I, for ¥77.4 billion ($737 million).

MFLP Ibaraki is well located for deliveries between regional cities, mainly in the northern part of Osaka. The property is located approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from “Ibaraki IC” of the Meishin Expressway; approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) from “Suita JCT,” which is the junction of the Meishin Expressway, Chugoku Expressway, and Kinki Expressway; as well as being within 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from “Ibaraki Sendaiji IC” of the Shin-Meishin Expressway. Since, the Shin-Meishin Expressway which was opened recently serves as an alternative route for the Meishin Expressway connecting Kyoto and Kobe, it functions as a loop line outside the Osaka metropolitan area and contributes to improving wide-area transportation convenience.
