PS Business Parks said Maria Hawthorne, president and CEO, has taken a leave of absence for health reasons not related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
John Petersen, executive vice president and COO, will assume Hawthorne’s positions on an interim basis, with immediate effect.
Hawthorne will remain on the REIT’s board during her leave, and Petersen will remain COO.
PS Business Parks is a REIT that acquires, develops, owns and operates commercial properties, primarily multi-tenant industrial, flex and office space. As of March 31, 2020, the company wholly owned 27.5 million rentable square feet with approximately 5,000 commercial customers in six states and held a 95 percent interest in a 395-unit apartment complex.
