by Andrea Waitrovich

Jonathan Lulu has joined WHI Real Estate Partners (WHIREP) as managing principal. His responsibilities are to cultivate and manage investor relationships and facilitate growth of the platform through capital raising and other efforts that are aligned with the group’s overall strategy. Previously he was at Equity International.

WHIREP was founded in 2010 and currently manages more than $200 million of U.S. real estate assets. It is affiliated with William Harris Investors, which manages approximately $1.2 billion across an array of different strategies. Since founding, WHIREP has sponsored three opportunistic closed-end real estate funds and several co-investment vehicles. WHIREP’s most recent fund, WHI Real Estate Partners II, closed in 2012 with approximately $100 million in equity commitments. The opportunistic fund is more than half invested.
