Tristan Capital raises €1.5b for EPISO IV fund

Tristan Capital Partners has held a first and final close of €1.5 billion ($1.6 billion) for its European Property Investors Special Opportunities IV fund, according to a statement.

The fund had the fastest capital raise in the firm’s history, raising €1.2 billion ($1.3 billion) from 25 investors in just four months. The fund has also received €300 million ($326.9 million) in commitments from another nine investors which will be deposited by the end of September.

“Real estate has become an attractive alternative for fixed-income investments both in terms of yield and duration in a low interest rate, low inflation market. Our recent fund offering also benefited from the strong appetite for European property assets where there is still considerable value to be extracted as the E.U.’s economic recovery gains momentum,” Ric Lewis, CEO of Tristan Capital Partners, said in a statement.
