Stockbridge raises $184m for second value fund

Stockbridge Capital Group has raised $184.3 million for Stockbridge Value Fund II, according to a filing with the SEC.

The value-added fund launched in September 2013 and has a $500 million fundraising goal. It will invest in a wide variety of property types including CBD and suburban office, multifamily, industrial and retail properties. The fund will invest throughout the United States. Institutional investors in the fund include the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which committed $75 million to the fund last September.

Stockbridge is an independent real estate management firm with a portfolio that spans the investment risk spectrum. As of Sept. 30, 2013, the firm has approximately $6.4 billion in assets under management. During
