Quantum Equities’ second fund nears final close

Seattle-based commercial property developer Quantum Equities has plans to hold a final close for its Cascadia Real Estate Investments II on Nov. 30.

The opportunistic fund was launched in May 2010 with a $100 million fundraising goal. Cascadia Real Estate Investments II was launched to take advantage of the commercial property bankruptcies in the Pacific Northwest. The vehicle invests in suburban office, CBD office, medical office, industrial, multifamily, senior housing, student housing, healthcare and mixed-use opportunities in the Pacific Northwest.

The fund’s predecessor, Cascadia Real Estate Investments I, was launched in June 2009 and targeted $60 million in equity commitments. It focused on multifamily, office and industrial properties in the Pacific Northwest.
