Illinois Municipal commits $185m to infrastructure, real estate

The $34.7 billion Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund committed $185 million to three infrastructure and real estate vehicles.

The first commitment was a $75 million allocation to Crow Holdings RealtyPartners VIII, a real estate debt fund managed by Crow Holdings Capital Partners. Crow Holdings RealtyPartners VIII isa value-added, closed-end real estate fund that invests in U.S. real estate debt.The pension fund committed $75 million to the fund’s predecessor, Crow Holdings RealtyPartners VII, in June 2015. In additional investments, the fund received a $50 million commitment from the $16.3 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana in early December.
