Hunt Investment senior vice president retires

Steve Walker has plans to retire as senior vice president and managing director at Hunt Investment Management, effective Jan. 1, 2014. He joined Hunt Investment in 2010.

Walker has had a long career in the real estate investment business. Prior to joining Hunt, he held positions with Equitable Real Estate Investment Management and Invesco Real Estate, among other firms.

Walker joined Equitable Real Estate in 1981 and headed the company's Midwest asset management operations from Chicago. He later managed portfolios and became a senior client relationship executive as Equitable Real Estate grew into one the nation's largest institutional real estate manager. After Lend Lease Real Estate Investment bought Equitable Real Estate and then sold off pieces of the company in 2003, Walker left for Invesco Real Estate and later joined Prudential Real Estate Investors.
