Denver pension fund commits $30m to energy fund

The $2.1 billion Denver Employees Retirement Plan has committed $30 million to Lime Rock Resources Fund IV, according to Randy Baum, CIO for the pension fund.

According to its website, Lime Rock Resources acquires oil and gas producing properties in six states.

The pension fund previously committed to Lime Rock Resources Fund III, which held a final close of $750 million in October 2013.

The Denver Employees Retirement Plan has a 5.5 percent target allocation to private energy.
