Cypress raises $195 million for retail fund

Cypress Equities has raised $195 million for its Cypress Acquisition Partners Retail Fund, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The value-added/opportunistic fund launched in March 2012 with a $300 million fundraising goal and will purchase or develop shopping centers, power center retail, shopping malls and mixed-use properties.

Cypress Equities companies have been actively involved in almost 80 real estate projects, including both fee-based activities and principal investments, valued at more than $2.6 billion, including nearly $500 million of total invested equity.
