Chinese investor launches European operation

China-based COS Capital has plans to deploy up to €1 billion ($1.1 billion) in European property during the next three years with the launch of COS Capital Europe.

COS Capital Europe will invest on behalf of the wider COS Capital group, primarily in value-added opportunities across the office, residential, industrial, distribution, logistics and retail sectors. The initial focus will be on London and the U.K. market, broadening out to include other European countries over time.

With a head office in Beijing, COS Capital is backed by China Orient Asset Management and Sunshine Insurance, the eighth-largest insurance group in China with more than $85 billion of assets under management.
