CalSTRS looks for real estate portfolio manager

The $161.4 billion California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) is looking for a real estate portfolio manager with at least 10 years of real estate investment management experience in acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management or disposition.

CaSTRS has been active with its real estate portfolio. Recently, CalSTRS committed $106 million to real estate. The retirement system had a real estate portfolio value of approximately $22 billion, or 14 percent of plan assets, as of Dec. 31, 2012.
