Asana Partners markets debut real estate fund

Asana Partners has launched its debut real estate fund, Asana Partners Fund I, aiming to raise $400 million.

The fund will invest in retail real estate in 11 key cities in the United States: Atlanta; Austin; Boston; Charleston, S.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas; Houston; Nashville, Tenn.; New York City; Raleigh, N.C.; and Washington, D.C.

The $14.9 billion Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System will consider committing up to $25 million to real estate fund Asana Partners Fund I.  The pension fund’s investment committee will decide Aug. 9 if it will recommend the $25 million commitment.
