AMP Capital appoints global head of property

by Zoë Wolff

Carmel Hourigan has been appointed global head of property with Australia-based AMP Capital, according to a statement. Hourigan will take over the position in early November.

Hourigan will replace Adam Tindall, who will be the new managing director of AMP Capital following Stephen Dunne’s retirement in October. Hourigan will be responsible for delivering strategy, growth and investment performance of AMP Capital’s $19 billion property investment and management business.

With more than 20 years of experience in property and funds management, Hourigan has served as managing director, CEO and CIO in both public and private markets. Most recently, she was CIO of The GPT Group.

Tindall, who will be taking on his new role in October, has more than 28 years of experience in the property industry. He came to AMP Capital in 2009 from Macquarie Capital, where he was executive director of property and infrastructure.
